The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This is a watercolor I did many years ago when i was caretaking my friend, Nancy's, home in the woods. I painted her chickens "live" meaning I watch them for hours then memorized images. Their movements were so quick. It became a joke that i was going to Nancy's to actually paint her chickens....like as in put paint on them...
