This is a watercolor I did many years ago when i was caretaking my friend, Nancy's, home in the woods. I painted her chickens "live" meaning I watch them for hours then memorized images. Their movements were so quick. It became a joke that i was going to Nancy's to actually paint her chickens....like as in put paint on them...

My ongoing education in art takes place thru my own passion and pleasure in the exploration of creative processes. Always excited by fiberarts and having been raised by a seamstress, I started working in batik on silk fabric over thirty years ago. Batik has become my voice.
